Velux Skylights
VELUX offers a complete system of complementary products and accessories for any skylight solution from installation right down to the finishing touches. Whether you’re looking to add one of our Fresh Air skylights or a model geared more towards small spaces like our SunTunnel Skylights, we’ve got all the skylight options and information you need to make a decision.
Manual "Fresh Air" Skylights
Designed for both deck and curb mount installations, the VELUX Manual “Fresh Air” skylight enables any home to embrace the best of what nature has to offer. Opening for maximum fresh air, this venting skylight contributes to a home’s proper moisture balance and comfort level by allowing stale, humid air to be released.
Electric "Fresh Air" Skylights
Designed for both deck and curb mount installations, the VELUX Electric “Fresh Air” skylight is the perfect daylighting solution for overhead applications. It allows for abundant natural light, and with the touch of a button, opens to let in fresh air. And if you forget to close it, a rain sensor will shut the skylight during inclement weather.
Solar Powered "Fresh Air" Skylights
The Solar Powered “Fresh Air” Skylight (available for both deck and curb mount installations) features a solar panel that captures available daylight and uses it to recharge a highly efficient, fully concealed battery powered operator and control system. This operator is the power source that opens and closes the skylight, negating the need for electrical wiring during installation.
Fixed Skylights
VELUX fixed skylights are perfect for visually expanding areas such as hallways, stairwells, and other closed-in, dark spaces that can be transformed with light and sky views. They provide an economical choice in creating a spacious home that is filled with natural light.
Clean Quiet & Safe
Neat glass greatly reduces water spotting. Noises are reduced up to 25%.
Skylight Installation Options
VELUX “Fresh Air” and fixed skylights come in both deck mounted and curb mounted styles. Contact us today to decide which style works for your home.
Curb Mounted
The skylight is mounted on a wooden frame, known as a curb, that the installer builds around the opening on your roof. Curb mounted skylights are ideal for flat roofs up to a pitch of 60 degrees.
Deck Mounted
The skylights deck seal is nailed directly to your roof deck for a low profile, energy-efficient installation. Deck mounted skylights are best for roofs with a pitch between 14 and 85 degrees.
